  1. When you start with a Pokemon that was already mediocre (Pikachu, Clefairy, Marill) and give it a baby form, the baby is doomed to suck. Baby Pokemon kinda make sense gameplay wise if you apply them to something big, tough, and single-stage like Magmar and Electabuzz. And when the thing you're making the "baby" version of was already cute , again as with Pikachu, Clefairy, and Marill, the baby form can't actually be any cuter and in fact looks ugly and stupid.

  2. curse+rest combo serves the same function as doubleteam in gen 1 because it gives nearly every pokemon a win condition. That being said I dont mind that, considering the final battles of the game have significantly high levelled mons.

  3. Ngl, I don't really understand the point of banning moves like that. I mean, if your intention is to make the game hard, you're gonna have to ban moves like thunderbolt, surf or flamethrower. At that point, you might as well try to go through the game with just tackle and scratch.

  4. Great content, keep doing you! I like to watch these runs. I don't exactly have time to do all these types of playthroughs on my own.. when I play, I make mistakes and choices that aren't perfect, so I wouldn't expect anything else from someone who is taking the time to show us these fun, time-consuming runs I appreciate that you are putting out this content and will watch them no matter how u configure the overlay, or any of the in game choices you make! ❤️

  5. Hey Matt , Matt here. I agree with curse and rest. Unless the pokemon learns it. I also don't like hidden power but that's just me. (Unless it's random) with the stopping the time at blue instead of red I like having to beat red. I would be more curious if a Pokemon can't or can't beat him without those moves. Also I get that you're the one playing so if you have to grind to level 100 that might not be fun for you.

  6. Just because you asked, here's my opinion on curse+rest+leftovers vs. hidden power

Yes, curse+rest is busted, but at least it requires some strategizing. It makes red trivial, which is a big deal, but it doesn't ruin the rest of the game because of how late curse is available.
I like the idea of considering red as bonus content and using curse if necessary

As for hidden power, it might not be the most busted move, but personally I don't like it when it is used in runs, it feels like cheating.
Some moves feel like cheating because of how powerful they are, but being able to have a move of ANY type of your choosing on ANY pokemon, and having to plan your IVs accordingly on top of that just feels more like a cheat code to me. It just feels like it ventures outside of the normal game design rules for this game.
Yes, hidden power can have 70 power at most, but just imagine how terribly stuck Igglybuff would have been vs Jasmine if it didn't have hidden power fire

  7. i often wonder why they bothered adding baby mons, whats the point? theyre just a pain until they evolve, to me it just feels like an unfinished concept, like there was supposed to be more to it that was never implemented
