Tags: this was a rad boss though, the combat is still, a tad bit clunky, but like just enough
polygon butt is my favorite type of butt
As someone who's been obsessed with Zoids for most of her life, this episode made me happy.
More abstract animal reaver bots, I say.
I keep seeing the grabby arm, and the small reaver bots and wonder, "can they be thrown into each other"?
Also wonder if Data's "what to do" had a talk option where he'd lampshade how he got there.
Data did rescue Roll in that pre-game short (apparently). But the same monkey also clumsily caught the entire flutter and himself on fire.
Maybe he's just spontaneously there…which would mean he could show up in dungeons conviently for saves without reason!
Ah yes, polygon butt. Because Volnutt can't stop stumbling onto naked girls one way or another. (He walked in on Roll taking a bath in an odd optional scene in 1 too).
Now that you're on the big ol' ship you can visit the junkshop there too. It's got some goodies, including a gun barrel for that model gun thing you have.
Don't forget to check any crates on the ship either.
Also if you want a vacuum cleaner and a thing to shoot missiles with, there's some parts back in Yosyonke snowy town, in a houses cabinet and a trashcan/bin outside respectively.
Next time, possibly after that, a new island that might have been in the demo? Kinda?
Is it just me, or did that dog-like reaverbot like to RUSH at you a lot? Too bad it wasn't red…
7:10 She said "a person or something". Also keep in mind this wasn't a stretch of time known for perfect translations.
wow roll really doubles down on the "mega man! mega man!" in this one
I don't know why, but the Vivaldi at the end really caught me off-guard.
If you want to talk about this game controlling like a modern game with analogs. If you look at the last control scheme D which you only get with a dualshock controller. It actually maps the jump and shoot buttons to the shoulder buttons for a 3rd person shooter kind of thing. Sadly I feel the way the shoulders are mapped is a bit too weird to really use though. I did remap everything in an emulator once and it was kind of nice.

(0:47) Jet Skates get! Yep, you get them this early in MML2!
(1:22) One thing I do remember about the Jet Skates in this game is that you automatically jump if you reach the edge of a ledge while you're skating, which is generally pretty nice.
(1:46) 2000 Zenny isn't too much… except you just spent nearly all of your cash on other things.
(2:05) We have a world map, yo!
(4:07) The crevasse is producing an invisible plot wall!
(8:11) Lightning Shield? This game is now part of All the Sonics. 😛
(8:28) Alright, it's mid-boss time!
(8:38) Ohhh… Silly lock-on targeting that always aims where the enemy is, and not where the enemy is going to be.
(9:06) Victory!
(12:03) This game is now part of All the Phantasy Stars. 😛
(12:42) Alright, it's boss time, vs. King Elephant King!
(13:14) Yeah, you might want to back away before it tramples you for a tiny sliver of damage and ruins the flawless victory.
(13:15) Welp, too late for that.
(13:56) Oh, geez… That shockwave did a LOT of damage to you!
(14:28) That's not how energy blasts work, game! …Well, until now.
(14:41) Victory!
(21:20) Man, Tiesel's fist sure is blocky.
(24:17) Invisible monkey FTW. Yeah, would've been nice if the nearest save point was clearly marked on the map.
[scene fades in, cuts to Roll and Megaman alone in a fancy bedroom toward the end]
real subtle capcom
AWOOOOOGH I love that wolfbot!
BUT HA! I was NOT expecting an all-out orchestral rendition of Antonio Vivaldi's Spring.
