I don't play competitive so this set isnt for me im more of a fun team maker i have this dog on my doggo team
I noticed this boi later on but I honestly do love it. The stats aren't even too bad. 120 Atk is of course good, 90 Def is somewhat good, 80 HP isn't the highest but it can be usable, and 85 Speed is the same, it's not the greatest speed tier but it's solid enough to work. When I saw Mabosstiff's stats and abilities I immediately just had a feeling this thing would be a solid singles UU mon, since it definitely isn't strong enough to be warranted as OU outside of just being an Intimidate user, but in UU it's statline could end up being solid enough to work, and plus it can still Intimidate down there too.

I wish guard dog protected Mabosstiff partner pokemon from intimidate. Would make it soooooo much better
I had thoughts of doing Guard Dog + Adrenaline Orb. With Intimidate being so common it gives yer dog a free Dragon Dance. Could probably even go all in as Adamant too. I know Adrenaline Orb is is a very… Situational and niche item choice but it seems like something opponents will have to respect too.

I got sweeped by Larry and decided to swap up my team with a mabostiff that managed to clutch a win, then nemona forced me into battling before I could switch up my team and I needed the mabostiff to clutch again, I’m putting him on my team forever
