  1. Why should we accept layering ? We are the players, we are the ones paying. Just fucking reject it and call Blizzard out on it. You are the voices of the community, that Blizzard listens to. Where is the Vanilla experience we were promised ? They are other systems/options than a 3 month long layering-period. Fuck this, you deserve an unsub and a dislike

  2. In theory, layering won't be in phase 2 because 100% of the population won't be all jammed in the starting area. There won't be a population bottleneck like there will be on day 1 and the first few weeks.

  3. It feels like we are finally turning over a new leaf in gaming. With the failure of micro transaction riddled games, the launch of amazing games like Rage 2 and now the rebirth of classic WoW, It is almost like I have been transported back to the mid 2000's when gaming didn't suck donkey dicks.

  4. Captain Placeholder probably won’t be there instead of the boats in phase 1. They are probably using the same line of reasoning with regards to the placeholder epic mount models.

  5. I am very clear on layering: No one of my friends have the time to wait in queues. They have 1-2 evenings to play a week and they are not flexible with this days. If there is a big mess the first weeks, they just won't start. Similar I guess are many others thinking: Without a good start, classic will not be the success we want it to be. Also, we all know that many people will leave classic. Without layering we will have long, long queues OR dying servers. The idea to put 3-4 times the server max population on a server at start seems the best idea to prevent dying servers. And remember: Servers do not just die. They suffer for month till server transfers will be in discussion. So: layering is the best over all idea and I guess many servers will normalize very fast. Especially besides the crowded hours there will be only one layer.

  6. a big reason a lot of things were considered forgotten on classic was that without proof of it being that way, people considered an illegitimate source. basically if there was no old post for it it wasn't trust worthy information.

  7. layer for phase 1 is alright but i want it like it waz in the old day's, when your in the said zone and i go to you in that zone your there so no phaze 2 . but this game this system is super abuseable everyone know it fuck this

  8. I'd say the shard hopping should be limited to like an hour cooldown, out of combat only. That way you can join your friends but you can't use it to manipulate resources. Makes sense, it's a one way deal, you join to play with them not hop around.

  9. the layer cap goto be 3000+
wit increasing 5 – 10 – 15 – 20 minute out of game queues to layer hop more than one time every 1/2 hour
that might disincentivize most people tryna layer hop for nodes and rares etc!

  10. UN-ADDRESSED EMERGENCY INQUISITION NEEDS TO BE HELD
are we getting scuffed post-nerf 2006 dungeons on launch so u can face tank aoe-cleave every elite pack in every dungeon with greens and zero cc for epics like its bfa
    this must be addressed!

  11. They completely forget that, while you might be able to jump between layers, every layer is gonna be filled up, so chances are that people on layer 2 will already have killed mobs/herbed/mined etc. when someone from layer1 tries to jump to layer2, to get new spawns etc.

  12. 1. Sharding/Layering:

I can't see how this would be so easily exploited? You say that you can simply use your friends to hop back and forth between layers, but that would imply that those friends are actually on a different layer. Thinking logically, blizzard would most likely put a player together with his friends when choosing a layer. And if a friend is on another layer, and you join him, but then you log out, you would most likely be in the same layer once you log back on. I can't see how you could easily be jumping back and forth. Sure, once or twice maybe, but then you are most likely stuck on that layer.

    2. BG crossrealm:

Maybe they could just prioritise the same server, and after a fixed amount of minutes in queue, it started looking for people on other servers? Either that, or 2 different searching options. One for crossrealm, one for same server.

  13. 40:00 mobs being more mobile? and dealing more damage? HELL YEAH! but mobs being just slower to kill? no thanks. blizzard needs to change her idea of what "harder" means.

give mobs more and stronger attacks, even better AI if possible, but dont just make them slower to kill and non-challenging. that's just lazy.

  14. Will you ever consider putting this podcast on any streaming services such as Apple Podcasts? I'd love to listen to you guys more but is hard to do from youtube! Keep it up 🙂

  15. FF does layering on expansion launch and it let's you choose which layer you want when you enter a zone assuming it's not full. The towns didn't have it so we just had all the players there for that server.

  16. If you are invited to a group and there is at least 1 player in view distance of you, you should not be able to be invited to a group of someone on a separate layer. You should HAVE to log out IN the group first to get into their "layer". If you can logout and back in, then fine. I do NOT want to see people just go poof just because they were invited to a group. That is a deal breaker for me. If they have to log out to get into another shard, then that is better.

  17. No one is talking about how bad the AH will be flooded with these layers. It is damaging to the ecocomy. They need to have several servers that you are LOCKED to and have a shared name save between those groups for when they merge later on (or if all of them are good population, remove the naming save).

  18. getting enough ppl with hydraxian ehh, was it honored or revered? ;S.. for water to douce the runes in MC so raggy even will spawn takes A TAAAD longer than 1 week played ;P
