It might be better to only change direction when a goal is scored. So the players can get used to it each time.
I think the "mismatched" gravity feeling is because you can drive on the walls–That throws you off, no doubt.

I think what would make this map perfect is if the camera would move along with the gravity, so the camera always looks to the "ground".
Some kind of countdown and direction indicator for the gravity changes could make it easier to predict and actually make plays based on the gravity changes, which would be cool

Two cool map ideas I had after just watching the elipse map is one with zig zag walls so the bounces are insane and a map where it funnels down to each goal so boomer mode would be like heat seeker meets pool
When everyone forgets that boomer mode means gravity change,
Imagine if the camera could change its "down" alswell. Would have been good on the Bleeeep 3000 too.
