  1. same thing's happening to me bro..got Raikou with the master ball while I was trying to catch Entei, now I have Entei taking piss around Johto.. crobat LV 39 with Max Repel. When I am lucky I got my crobat fainting and switch wiht Victribell for sleep powder. Try to change with Parasect for the false swipe and he just waking up every time……it's so frustating..and I am also playing on then nintendo 3ds so no fastspeed …I hate that dog lol

  2. PSA: you do need all 3 beasts to get access to ho oh…what i mean by this is you need to have all 3 in your save (so not just the dex entries, a physical copy of all three). My mistake was transferring up my suicune cuz i wanted a hidden ability one in usum, i didnt clone it for some reason, and now i cant go for ho oh, but its all good cuz i didnt plan on going for ho oh on this save just the beasts for ha, but now that swsh is out and crowned tundra is coming very soon it shouldnt even matter too much.

  3. You don't actually have to talk to Eusine in Celadon as part of getting the Rainbow Wing, the only requirements are catching Entei/Raikou/Suicune and beating the Elite Four.

Although Crystal is super cryptic about how to get the Rainbow Wing, I almost screamed in real life when I asked online how to get it and finding out the horrible answer to that question.

  4. This is a good way! But I’m sure by now you know the most optimal way of getting these 2 Dogs is just by getting a Gastly at night during your start of the game or later. It knows Mean look and Hypnosis. Very effective way of catching these Mons. And a Level Ball is the highest catch rate at 9.265% when asleep with 12HP or lower. It’s 8.09% when it’s at 13-24HP. And with the level ball works best with a MON at Level 100. These are the percentages you will get. It took me less time if you don’t do the post game and just focus on leveling and getting Level balls. Took me less than 30hrs of total game time to get this. 30hrs as in WHOLE/competed gameplay for those wondering. Love your videos on how to! Fastball skips having get get a Lv100 or high level mon.

  5. Is it pronounced Rye-Cow like you said? I don’t see anyone in the comments being ridiculously rude and flaming you for it so I’m guessing you must be right hahahah. Huh, I’ve been saying Ray-Coo, or Rye-Coo since i was a youngun! Guess I’ve always been wrong haha.

  6. Every video I've looked up, I'm going "no no no!!!" What I'm trying to find out is whether or not it's game-breaking if you capture either or both of the roamers before you do the Suicune event. I'm playing Virtual Console Crystal on my 2DS and I've seen Raikou, reduced its health to a sliver, but I've heard both yay and nay on whether catching it and Entei before the Suicune event will adversely affect the "cutscene" of said event.

  7. You should just nickname Entei Fuck You. It goes nicely with Suicune’s nickname Asshole Pokémon. 🤣🤣. That leaves Raikou. How about You’re A Dick for him? That leaves us with, “Fuck you, asshole Pokémon, you’re a dick!”

  8. Should’ve used max repels with a Pokémon Lvl 40 or under to save your time. Insane that both dogs were in the same place (I actually had a similar experience just right now) but I can’t believe you moved routes smh. He was definitely there the entire time. Max repels would have helped enormously. Also would have been smart to save right before you know you’re at his location so you can soft reset and repeat until you catch him. I caught both legendaries within like an hour tops with Ultra Balls once I ran into Entei in both Route 36 and 37.

  9. For the first time ever on any of my Johto play throughs, be it GSC or HGSS, I finally caught all 3 of these roaming menaces. Playing Crystal on VC, Suicune was the easy one, being as you fight it at the Tin Tower and it doesn't Roar or run away.

I encountered Entei next and went after it. I hadn't yet even seen Raikou at the time. It was the hardest, I fought it the old fashioned way; sleep it, Mean Look it, chuck balls at it and hope for the best. Took about a week to catch, used 20-30 Ultra Balls (plus one regular Poke Ball out of desperation) and it got away even though I had whittled its HP down to the red zone. Later I was grinding my Eevee when I check my Dex map and found Entei happened to on the same route I was (the one west of the National Park). I lead with my Jynx ("Rouge") to Lovely Kiss it to sleep then trap it with Mean Look. I then caught it with just ONE Heavy Ball. What a happy day that was. Later that evening I evolved my Eevee into Umbreon.

Having not yet seen Raikou (I had beaten all the Johto gyms by this time) I was grinding my newly evolved Umbreon ("Shadow") on the route south of Blackthorn City when the legendary beast music played, knowing it could only be Raikou. I Master Balled that mutha.

I remember the excitement of unexpectedly encountering these majestic monsters, only to have them flee immediately and coming to realize how NOT easy it was going to be to bag them. I never bothered going after them when I first play Gen 2 20+ years ago. I didn't have the patience. But now I'm a much older and wiser trainer. Catching these three on my own for the first time felt like completing some long since unfinished business.
