This is fax.(gc2 pushing gc3) Whenever I have one of the best days mechanically, those are the days I LOVE faking. Not only are they more affective, but you feel so much more confident because you know you can do something mechanical, yet you choose to humiliate your opponent, it’s soo rewarding

I’m in C2 in 2s and I fake all the time. Works most of the time but I went to play 3s at D1 and when I say faking was impossible I mean you just couldn’t do it. Either the other team doesn’t acknowledge you or my favorite your teammate thinks your taking to long and decides to take it into their own hands

In high level Chess, it all comes down to mounting tension. The phrase "the threat is stronger than the attack" is a massive fundamental rule that has been around for centuries. Glad to see that this rule is getting spotlights in other games now.
I find at the beginning of the game you are just testing the waters to see how the other plays, as the game progresses you really start to see each other in action, don’t be jumpy at the beginning play slow and really watch what your opponent is capable of of
The thing about faking is that it doesn't work below, maybe, Plat II. Most of the people below this rank are frothing at the mouth to hit the ball while holding boost, so if they're making an advance, they're going to fly at the ball whether you fake a move or not.
