36 Gedanken zu „ClassiCast #8 | Blizzard Classic Dev Update + Q&A Ft. MrGM – The WoW Classic Podcast“
FINALLY!!! We got some Classic WoW News!! Sorry it took us a few days to actually get together and do a ClassiCast on this, it was a bad timing with all our schedules. We peaked at about 1100 during this stream Live on Twitch, which we were really really proud of. I did have some issues switching to StreamLabs OBS and I pulled this off of Twitch and the last minute where we were signing off got copyright blocked so that is why there is such an abrupt end to the video. Also Staysafe's internet went out in the middle of the podcast.. the dangers of doing it live I suppose lol.
Anyway, as scuffed as it was, I hope you guys enjoy!
progressive server- event patches- sounds good. How about one more thing: UNIQUE SERVERS. you already have pve and pvp. you can make a pay to win for idiots that want to be max level instantly. you can make one where all the mobs are elites. you can make one where you stop gaining xp if you don't pvp after 2 hours 🙂
funny hearing and seeing all these people comment on wow who haven't even been playing the game since release or played every expansion. blizzard can pay me $20,000 and i'll help them fix the game for a couple months. if they hired a bunch of people with no prior experience we are doomed.
re difficulty. game is so fucking retardely easy no a days. they need to seriously make sure to actually go back to vanilla. and ALL THE IDIOT NOOBS that wand rewards instantly today aren't going to like it. fuck them.
IT SHOULD take 6 months at least to level to 60. If it doesn't then the game is too easy. That's your problem. Making the game easy for idiots to who care more about being max level then enjoying the leveling.
only an idiot wants vanilla wow with no changes. That game sucked major balls. the interface needs fixing. the beginner's guide at the start is very important for a game and was missing from vanilla. lots of problems with vanilla if you just try it out compare it to bc, wotlk and others.
i want classic with new graphix and new lighting. so thats answers ur question.. there is sumone 🙂
i want to the clasic or emersion and difficulty. not for sum nostalgic reason with blocky dull grafix. they should do it like starcraft remaster and be abble to pick grafix and lighting
I’ve been playing on vanilla private servers for about a year now, and I’ve discovered that having a good Pc during raids is detrimental compared to how it is in legion. I used to raid weekly on legion, and I would only lag from time to time, but my pc could barely run through aq20, crashing the game a few times on the way. I hope that they can fix that with blizzard classic so I can actually get the experience I’ve been hoping to find
I don't get all this talk about cash shop. Is it just because all the private servers had cash shops? Current wow doesn't have a cash shop that effects game play.
They made changes to the game all throughout vanilla it was never the same game through and through vanilla but a topic on this is about making no changes, is there a vanilla patch where vanilla stopped being vanilla enough? Or was it all the same game and should be considered as such ignoring that they added new stuff whenever they wanted?
I really like how everyone seems to have an opinion on the original release timetable of raid content patches but like less than 1% of the player base supposedly took part in, the content patches really meant almost nothing for me in my original vanilla experience, the only raid I ever stepped foot in during vanilla was ZG
I wanna share my view on the Battlegrounds situation: At launch, why not have the honor system implemented without implementing Battlegrounds? This way, you reward people to engage in world pvp which is a good feeling no? I think a lot of people enjoy some pvp on the side while leveling and some even want to go for some ranks in the first weeks. After all, I don't think you will get to Rank 14 fast without BGs because it's much less organized and planning to get your honor/hour is impossible.
From what I see, its going to be a separate client (and a separate purchase); a saparate game on the bnet client. also will likely share game time with wow modern.
I think that WS and AV BGs should be out at launch. For all of those who don't raid super hardcore, BGs are a very nice way to spend time. World pvp before BGs is nice but there isn't many incentives to do it. Though, if no BGs and honor system means they can release the game earlier, I'm all for it (=
Since mana is a HUGE issue in Vanilla, the spirit bonus from Human is actually better than the ~0.4% crit chance and ~250 mana from Gnome's 5% intellect racial. Over time in a long raid fight, the extra mana regenerated is going to give you an extra 4 to 6 spells cast in an entire fight, meanwhile the 250 mana would get you 2 casts and maybe 1 extra crit. Either way its VERY close. And Humans have 10% rep gained so..That's not even a competition in my mind.
Listening to this podcast after the blizzcon, it's impressive how on point MrMG was. With all the timing of the launch, the fact that blizz would talk a lot about classic and so on. #NOCHANGES#MrMgISONDEVTEAM J/K
1:34:22 120 ping. Lol. Oceanic players before the introduction of Oceanic based servers would play at 250ms on a good day. Even now I’ve never had less than 120ms even though the servers are supposedly only 600 miles away.
When it comes to ganking for hours and hours, no matter how bad, even as a streamer, Blizzard has always had exactly one response when those people are reported for griefing on PvP servers; "We do not intervene in situations where a PvP solution is available."
It's nice to know I was an above-average player in vanilla. Even back then I couldn't imagine clicking buttons with my mouse (actually I used a Wacom tablet). I used Discord Action Bars and had keybinds for every skill and item, with macros to optimize certain action buttons too.
If players back then really were as bad as folks like these guys say, I think raiding in Classic will be a whole lot more fun, not less. Yes it may be easier, but still fun!

if you watch this youtube video put it on 2x speed and you will still be wasting an hour. they really dont talk about anything.

and i hated addons. what os the differences if there is a built in quest helper vs an addon one. does it rlly mater?
I difenetly agree about the Honor System at 53:00! Good point

I would love a patch 1.13 🙂
Redundant cast…

Bgs from the start and don’t put rewards maybe? Corpse run pvp is kinda fun but rez timers and objectives are clearly a better and and skillful option

Esthetic doesn’t affect gameplay, why not have good lighting and shadows? All it would do is help you immerse yourself
Ive watched 3 of these and if the video title i had to extend to look on mobile didn’t say ft mgm i would still have no clue who the hosts were

I would cry for so long if they added a cash shop into vanilla…
We need a new computer to play "classic wow" and you just glaze over it.
Wtf! I think its bullshit personally. Why should i have to spend a grand or two to play a game i already own!?
Fuckin hell…..

he brings up the ninja change to latency twice a stream LOL 😀
Why dont they get the game from the developers from Nost? I mean they have the code for and design
39:00 @MRGM called it!
