  1. oh my god, I wish I knew you could run from trainer battles. I was leveling up some other pokemon and did a battle and found one had a higher level and had levitate so my stronger guy can't earthquake it. would have saved me some revives.

  2. Running from trainers is literally the same as getting L’d on by them, with the difference being you don’t have to watch it happen, you still lose money and still get teleported to the pokecenter

  3. Be careful when changing out moves. Always save before you start. Then, after changing the move, change again to see if the move you just dropped is still on the list. If not, either understand that the move is gone forever or reset to get the move back.

  4. Is myth #4 real? Oh my god, how does this game just keep getting worse?

I might be misremembering, but I remember that in gen 5, the first game where TMs became reusable, if you used a TM to replace a move, the original move's PP would be carried over (unless the new move had lower PP). This could be annoying when you teach a pokemon a new move in a city and then go out to train and realize you're missing half the pp, but it also prevented BS like this.

How is pokemon actually moving backwards in terms of game design?

  5. While exploring i ventured to the elete four place and fought the first trainer there easily, but when I got to the guy outside the building I had no clue what I was in for. I had level 37 and lower pokemon against his level 50s but still managed to win, it was crazy. I lost two pokemon in the process, but my Mimikyu saved the day!
